Sonia Heyworth A.R.C.A
Sonia used pastels, watercolour, her own handmade paper to make collage work and created prints using various methods including screen printing, mono printing & lithography
Born in London and trained at Willesden School of Art for four years, sitting the Boards Drawing Examination
Three years at the Royal College of Art awarded the A.R.C.A. degree
Worked as a freelance designer whilst teaching Art, Design and Crafts part time at Gravesend School of Art and later at Richmond Adult College
Sold wood engravings at the Royal Academy
1990 Commissioned to design and execute Stencils at Syon Park, Isleworth and in numerous private houses in West London
1997 Exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society’s gallery at Bankside
1997 ‘One person’ exhibition at Post Nostalgia gallery in Teddington
1998 Orleans House Gallery
Annually from 1999 to 2005 Exhibitor at Bedford Park, Chiswick
From 1997 Work exhibited at Gloucestershire Cathedral, galleries in Cirencester, Painswick and other Cotswold venues
