1989-1994 invited to return to Berkshire College of Art and Design to teach Jewellery design to National Diploma jewellery students and HND fashion students. I was also responsible for staging fashion shows at the Russel Square Hotel in London.

1990-1993 Created “The Real Sound Company” to design and develop prototypes for manufacture of innovative record playing turntable. This subsequently went into manufacture and was featured on the cover of Hi-Fi News and Record Review and described as “one of the most fascinating and certainly best-looking pieces of Hi-Fi seen in years.” The production model was also featured in an exhibition at “The Design Museum” in London

1994-2001 started own business producing both batch produced and made to commission jewellery, this business also diversified into interior and garden design. Other projects included the production of silver handrails for a model yacht, a silver chainmail suit for a parrot and a model train to deliver post to a house from an “engine shed” concealed within a brick gatepost.

2000 Commissioned by Dame Stephanie Shirley to produce artwork for Prior’s Court School, a school for autistic children.

​

2000 Included in limited edition book published to document the artworks at Priors Court School

2001 Commissioned by Lord Melvyn Bragg to produce a sculpture for his London garden

​

2001 Group show Artists of Fame and Promise, Bohun Gallery Henley

2002 Exhibited a collection of sculpture at Garden Architecture London

2001-2005 Worked for Hillier Landscapes working closely with acclaimed garden designer Sarah Eberle to design and construct clients’ gardens. My particular responsibility being the inclusion of unique one-off products to both enhance and individualise the projects.

2005 Collaborated with Sarah Eberle on designs for two gardens at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show these gardens were designed for L’Oreal’s Anais Anais perfume and The Daily Mail and were awarded Gold and Silver-Gilt medals respectively.

2005-2008 taught 3-D design to students on the UAL arts foundation course at Weston College

2005-2009 Returned to self-employment designing and producing gardens for clients, and re-establishing jewellery production.

2007 Designed and produced a large scale public artwork for the Weston College University Campus

2010 Designed and produced two bronze sculptures for Michel Roux Jr’s Parliament Square restaurant

2010 Birdhouse sculpture brought for the Yeo Valley Organic Garden, Bleadon

2013-2015 Studied for MA Fine Art at Bath Spa University

​

2014-2015 Mentored Adam Rush, (a sculpture student studying CAPS) through the process of sculpting a portrait bust commissioned by the Order of St. John of the Duke of Gloucester, two bronze casts were created one of which is at the St. John’s Museum and the other at Kensington Palace.

2009 to present established “spacemen” an innovative interior and garden design business working with Terence Wilson-Fletcher and in collaboration with JIA architects. This business model is intended to become active in response to projects of interest and is gaining a growing client base. Our approach to clients has developed through the success of CAPS pedagogy and involves the consideration of the clients’ relationship with their own world as a starting point for design proposals.

2009-present Lecturer on Contemporary Art and Professional Studies. During this time I have been closely involved with supporting the development of the CAPS program. My particular contribution has been the securing and implementation of commission opportunities and work placements for first and second year students. This has led to building links with North Somerset Council, Bristol City Council, Weston Hospital, Weston’s Grand Pier and other local and regional institutions. This process has allowed students opportunities to build their CV’s as well as demonstrating how being proactive can facilitate the creation of opportunities.

These commissions include hospital murals, two sculpture installations at Prince Consort Gardens and a recently unveiled sculpture in Apex Park in Burnham. I have also been responsible for the sculpture element of the CAPS program.
